I looked around and did not see anything on this little guy. Thinking it could be a nice little Tree stand deer rifle.

Why this over the much cheaper Ruger? The synthetic Ruger is just a few ounces heavier.

Your right probably just get a ruger and save some $. Just looking at the calibers they offer and I don’t have any experience with a 7mm-08…how is that cartridge?

Nay nay nay... if you want a scout rifle, you buy the Steyr Scout. It's a great value; a bipold is even built-in. Only $1750!

Plus you get to say - in a low Jeremy Clarkson Jaguar voice - "I have a Steeeeyyyrrrrr".

Nice gun, but I think you can get more bang for your buck.
