Christmas List

Top of my Christmas list: New United states Government that is responsive to the needs of the American People who elected them and will uphold the Constitution of the US of A in accordance to their oaths of office. Santa can keep all the rest...All I want for Christmas is is a Government that represents the Will of the American People.

Amen.

I'm with TheGerman, everyone in my family knows I'm a gun guy, but I'm a gun guy with all the cheap shit covered, I'm the gun guy that wants really expensive, specific stuff. Now, if I think I really need it, I've probably already went and got it. My Mom has already given up and just gives me money, not that she needs to, its just easier for her! I'm really just in it for the eats at this point...........even though I should get more exercise, and eat less, but that ain't no fun.
(really I should get out and exercise more).

All I want for Christmas is this mouth watering hoodie.

Everyone I know is scared shitless to buy me something because they know I only like/want specific things. You can't just buy me a bottle of cognac or a cigar or some gun part and figure I'd like it; doesn't work that way and everyone knows it.

I usually buy my own stuff and give it to my wife to give to me. That way, I get exactly what I want. Just like tjat trigger I bought Thursday. That’s my birthday present next week. ?

I need a bench for reloading.

I can't help you with the other two issues, but a decent bench can be fabbed from an old computer desk from a yard sale, Goodwill, Craigslist, etc.
Drawers from components and tools, and a sturdy top for the press, if you get one of the older ones with the solid wood top.
I got one with the hutch on the back. Shelves come in handy for manuals and whatnot.

Thank you never thought of those.

I put the ALG defense in mine and am very happy with it. I'm sure the Geissele is even better, but I tried to balance cost and performance to suit my needs and I think I nailed it.
I didn’t see one labeled for the mcx. Also, isn’t alg a subsidiary of Geissele?

I think that I only want a couple of things this year. A Remage barrel and a one piece steel rail for one of my rifles. Possibly a new tripod with a hog saddle, but that will come in time.

Red Ryder BB gun with a compass in the stock

And a 1911 bushing tool that captures the spring plug so it doesn’t go flying into ceiling when I reach for a glass of rye during reassembly.

Oh yeah, and a band-aid for my freaking forehead after taking aforementioned drink!

Took Mrs. Tucker to lunch yesterday and we stopped by the Amish furniture store. List busted. ?

That's a quote. I was already holding a post card that said 25% off in December, so I'll go back next week and place the order.
Good thing I grabbed that chassis and accessories yesterday for my Anschutz 54. Can't stop that one. ?

Must be some very nice stuff, good for you. When you go back with the 25% discount ask them to take the discount pre tax, save some bucks.

Also. post photos when the 54 is up and running. Thanks.

Scott037, Your profile says Oregon and you say TX. Guessing Mother Tucker knows you are in Austin, hence the CL search posted.

Not sure if you you are a church goer, many churches have a board or someone in the know about babysitters for parents to get out. Anyone who knows a darn thing knows that parents not having time alone together is a huge issue in marriages once kids come along. And I am not even talking about intimacy....... Time to talk, relax, laugh together that were all easy before kiddos.

Ask me how I know? :)

Stuff means little to me anymore. Time with family is very important to me.

My church (am I going to get in trouble for religion?;).....) has a "parents night out" where they watch the kids for 2-3 hours on Sunday afternoon/evening just for this. Anyone who has been married with kids knows that time alone to enjoy just each other, laugh and not be focused on kids is darn rare and very important.

Super important....thankfully I have a 16 year old who is our built in babysitter.

Any chance parents get to go out with each other should not be missed. As important as your children are, it is also critically important to have alone time to catch up......and reminisce about the days before children....LOL

Actually, all of our Amish furniture purchases thus far have been my choices. We replaced hand me down bedroom sets last winter. The ones we had were second-hand from when we got married 40 years ago.
The current dining set - this project - is that cheap Chinese Ashley shit. I refinished the table top last year, and it's better, but it's still slicked up pallet lumber to me.
I want American made, hand built quality furniture that will last generations.

My Bro bought some of their work a few years back.
Can seat 16 at this table.
Was a job getting it back from Amish locals.

Magnetospped V3 and a few other reloading components. However, at the very top of my list is a new heart. Current one is in terrible shape and doc stopped looking me in the eyes not long ago.

Dave, if you are on the transplant list, let us know. Many here will pray for you either way and we could up the ask if you are on the list.
