Hey all,

I don't have a chrono and was looking for some rough chrono numbers of my current loadout with Rem 700 in 300WM, 25" barrel with Roedale muzzle brake.

RL-22
208 Amax
Federal LMR 215 primers
Federal brass
OAL - 3.450"

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Speer and Sierra both list RL-22 and 200gr bullets and Sierra lists their 220gr SMK with RL-22.

For the Speer 200gr bullets (not HPBT) between 69-73grs for 2652-2852 fps with a 24" tube.

For the Sierra 200gr SMK, RL-22 at 69.4 grs yielding 2800 fps, is their 'accuracy' load, but they do list 2900 fps at 72.3 grs (Speer states that with their bullets, 73 grs is a compressed charge) out of a 26" Savage.

For the Sierra 220gr SMK, RL-22 gets it up to only 2700 fps at 68.1 grs.

I guess for a 208gr AMAX, you can roughly split the difference, for a bona fide 'guesstimate'.

Obviuosly, this has no bearing on your own personal reality and what you actually may realize out on the range with your own weapon.
