Chronograph

I don't have one but people seem to really think that the magneto speed chrony is the nuts. Uses a concept of magnetic field interference rather than light to measure the bullet's speed. In addition, it attaches to the barrel or suppressor, and is quite compact.

As far as pressure goes, the only way to truly measure internal pressure is with a strain gauge or copper crushing method; the latter of the 2 requires a hole to be bored into the chamber, which is quite unreasonable. You don't need to go to these lengths, unless you are a gun manufacturer or an r&d tech or something. When people are talking about the pressure of their loads in their rifles, they are most likely getting the info from quickload. It is not measured, but predicted. Close, not exact, but all you need is a handle on where you are.

Magnetospeed is awesome and you will wonder how you ever did load development without it, or a good chrono for the matter.

V1 - used on rifles without suppressor
V2 - used on rifles with suppressor

MileHigh is having a group buy still......I think.....so hurry!!!!!

P.S. - i have the V2

I like and use my oehler 35P, I trust it's velocities more than my other two. Never tried me magnetospeed, always was afraid it would screw up my nodes, and that's where I use my chronograph. It might not, but it sure seems like it would.

I had the same thought initially, but I have talked to a number of folks and read here on the forums that it is not impacting their nodes. I guess I'll have to find out for sure because I plan on picking one up. If anyone has had a different experience, please let me know.

My Shooting Chrony has served me well. It certainly has some pitfalls, but it works.

Is Milehigh a member here, or a place that sells reloading equipment? I can't seem to find this group buy.
