Guys, I have never owned a chronograph. I have very little experience with them, having only put maybe 50 rounds through friends'.
I am at the point in my reloading that I am considering picking up one. My hesitance is mostly because of the hassle they appear to be. From what I can tell, they are pretty finicky beasts. I have several buddies who own chronos but rarely bother with messing with them. Mostly because they dread setting them up. They only break them out when absolutely necessary.
I am wondering if there are any chronographs out there that are specifically designed to be accurate as well as convenient. Which ones should I consider? I doubt it makes any difference, but the majority of the use will come with 308 and 338LM. If possible, I would love to be able to chronograph arrow speeds with my compound bow as well. Mostly just for curiousitys sake.
