Until recently I collected and shot pre 1960 Vintage snipers exclusively, just something kind of cool to get an old war horse to shoot well.
But all that changed when I ran across one of the Chuck Mawhinney M40 over runs NIB . After examining the rifle and agreeing to a price I brought it home and took it to the range with some Blackhills 175gr Match ammo. To say the least it shoot nice but not impressively so I did a little on line research and found most people seemed to have good results with 168gr ammo so I picked up some Federal Gold Medal 168gr Match ammo and gave it a whirl, and am quit pleased with the early results.

The 100 & 200 yd targets speak for themselves
