Cigar/travel question...

Thinking about bringing a travel humidor and some smokes to SHOT. Any issue that you know of carrying on cigars?

Will TSA jump through their own ass over an Otter Box with some tubos in it? (Partegas Piramide Black Labels)

I think the cutter and matches will have to be in my checked bag right?

Nope, no issues at all. Cutters are carry on allowed. I've carried cutters that look more dangeroud than knives, everything from xcar to scissor type, to a simple blade with a cigar hook. But no matches now (used to), and no lighters


I carry them on all the time. throw a humipack, and gtg....but the again, there is Casa Fuente there in the Forum shops, so I spend alot of time there.

My cutter was G2G last time I flew, and matches were packed. Nowadays, I would worry more about the Rapiscan showing that fat assed TSA wench your junk.
Otter Box with a stash is OK so long as the retard knows what a cigar is. I have never had a problem, but a copied print of the website's advertising helps

If you have a nice cutter, pack it. You'll be happier in the end and face less hassles. I keep my Xicar in it's leather pouch in my lighter case

yeah, I travel just about every week...and trust me, xikar is good to go. I've had it in my pocket, as well as bags. jsut close it up

whenever I travel it is with cigar, cutter lighter etc. Like previously said no problems but I save myself any hassle by packing my otterbox with cigars and cutter/lighter in my checked luggage. The only thing I do differently is cut my cigars with a Palio

oh yeah, by the way, if u are at Casa Fuente, and sitting at the bar, they have two menus . One for most people (that is black), and another which is called the black book menu (also black) that has the HIGH END liquor. Of course their mojitos start you off right, along with the scantly clad women in thongs serving u.

yes, got a box of them, as well as the a few other higher end ones. I think my favorite ones are the anejo wrapped opus X. Love that taste . I do miss the Casa Fuente cigars though since I smoke them alot when I get them. Love Camaroon wrappers. If you are there shaggy, get some because those you cannot get outside that shop

Interesting you mention the Casa Fuente, I just got an email today from cigars direct stating they have them in stock for the first time ever. Was thinking about trying one or two while at SHOT.

I just flew CONUS and OCUNUS with cigars in the last two weeks in carry on. No issues. I didn't have my cutter or lighter in the bag though.

I am headed to Japan in a few hours with a small box of 4 and a roll of Cope in my carry on, and a small humidor packed in the van.
