CIP length AI mags in LA m700?

Just wondering if a standard long action rem m700 can use the CIP mags. I'm working up a 300 wm build and would like room to seat the long bullets out and feed from mags. Thank you.

I built a 300WM on a Surgeon XL and AICS stock, I use the CIP mags for the same reason you are interested in them. I am quite certain that the CIP length mags will NOT work with a Remmy long action. I dont think modifying the long action to accept them is feasible.

A normal long action will NOT work with the CIP length AI mags.

I was under the impression that in running a XLR chassis that is CIP mag length that no mods needed for a REM 700 LA??

I do believe that the feed ramp needs modified on a LA Rem.

This is the right answerer, I built a 338LM useing 338CIP mags and a XLR Chassis. Some milling of the feed ramp is needed so there is no lip for the tip of the bullets to catch on.
