Laying prone do you all find you are more stable with the bipod spread as wide as possible with the legs extended to achieve proper height or are you more stable with the legs shorter and less spread out for proper height?

I’ve played with both, both seem to work but I haven’t figured out an optimal configuration

This is pretty tough to beat as far as stability goes

I feel like a wider footprint will always be more stable on a flat, stationary position. Best way to figure it out is to test it for yourself! Take a load that you know works well in your gun, shoot 5 rounds with the feet wide + extended, then shoot 5 rounds with the feed narrower + normal length and see which shoots best for you :)
