Simple question. Any good or junk? If okay which ones would work the best on a non-tapered bull barrel which measures .850?

Darkmetal Design has them and they work really well. But they really only have one design so its kinda take it or leave it on the looks. But functions great.
I have heard good things about the Kahntrol clamp on brake.
But they are $150. I can get a Schuler for $45 and have the barrel cut, recrowned, threaded, brake timed and contoured and Cerakoted, for $125. So for $170, I have a threaded barrel and brake.

BenchMark makes a great threaded brake that is also a clamp for quick removal. I have built a lot of rifles using everything from Little Bastard brakes, JEC, muscle brakes and many more. I had a customer bring me one of these to put on for him. When test firing the rifle I was really impressed and ordered 5 of them. I have put them side by side to the above mentioned and they seem to be just as affective or a little more possibly. I really like them for the reason they make it easy to switch to a can in the field and are a great brake. The only down side to them is if you want something tapered to match your barrel contour this may not be what you are looking for.
