Cleaning a canvas shooting jacket?

I've been getting more and more into NRA Hi-Power shooting and I was lucky enough to be gifted a well used but in great condition Creedmoore Sports canvas shooting jacket. Only problem is that its quite dirty. I was trying to look around online to see how to clean it with no luck. Some say it cannot be cleaned, others say it can, they just dont say how.

Does anyone here have any experience with this?

If it's dry visible dirt, just take a stiff brush to it. Otherwise, a damp rag should get a bit off. I don't think you want to get it but so wet. Some have the removable collar which can be thrown in the wash or even replaced. Most people use a sweatshirt or hooded one underneath, spray some febreeze on it and stink it up some more.
