Cleaning chamber of AR10 type rifle?

Is there anything wrong with using a chamber brush to clean the chamber of a POF-308? I was told by someone who seems fairly knowledgeable that this is bad for the chamber and that I should only use a chamber mop on the chamber?

The question would be why would want or need to use a chamber brush on the chamber? If you have that much build up I would think there are other issues which need to be address first.
I've never used anything but a mop in my chamber(AR)

I shoot suppressed and it seems to cause build up on the chamber? I've had problems chambering rounds in my .223 platforms (POF223, LaRue, Bushmaster), and using a chamber brush made all the difference in the world.

Never used a chamber mop before, maybe I should be using that instead of the brush?

Chamber brush with a patch wrapped around it.

I use a .45 cal pistol brush for my .308 because they are more available than chamber brushes.

you can get nylon AR chamber brushes from Brownell's

should do what you want them to do

That should work perfectly, I didn't think of nylon brushes.
