How do you clean your lrf lenses?

For the past few years I've been using a bushy 1500arc. Now that it won't range further than 500yds, I ordered a 1600arc.

Whenever I cleaned the lenses of the 1500 I'd use a lens cleaning 'rag' or whatever is supplied with most scopes. After these years, the lrf lens looks hazy and scratched.Using the same technique withj all of my scopes has worked fine.

Whats a foolproof way to preserve these lenses on most LRF's?

Thanks yall

Re: Cleaning LRF lenses

Hypno, I've had a Leica 1200 for a long, long time. Its one of the old boxy, square units. It still works as good now as the day I bought it. What I do with mine is use compressed air or a scope brush. I don't ever rub on the laser lens. Obviously, I clean the magnified monocular lens just like I would a scope.

So far so good with this method.

Re: Cleaning LRF lenses

I use a Nightforce scope cleaning kit on my scopes and rangefinders and haven't notice any damage on the lenses, I use the brush more than the spray bottle and the cloth. The nightforce kit seems to be of better quality than some other brushes and cleaning clothes I used in the past.
