Gunsmithing cleaning nitrided barrels

Re: cleaning nitrided barrels

I have a couple, but haven't cleaned them other than when they first returned from MMI. I wouldn't think any of the commercial cleaners could harm the process.

I do nothing different. But, the nitrided barrel is much easier to clean. Copper fouling is greatly reduced and powder residue comes out with much less work.

Who is making AAC's Nitrided barrels? I would pick one up...but I hate buying a barrel and not knowing who made it.

My guess would be Remington is.
