For those who are familiar with them - how easy is it to run a cleaning rod with a Manners MCS-T5A? Looks like with rod guide installed it could be a problem. Any insights? Looking at ordering one.

thanks,
Jason

After I set my initial cheek weld I put a spot of nail polish on each post where it meets the stock. When I clean, I just take it off and it's easy to relocate. You could also use tape if you wanna set a physical bottom stop.

My 2A cheekpiece has a series of groves on the verticle rods with a C-clip. You put the c-clip on the grove to match your heigth. Loosen the lock screw and just remove the cheelpiece for cleaning. It returns to the same spot.

Hi swift, All of our adjustable check hardware is the KMW, there should be a e-clip on one of the post to set height. Let me know if for some reason yours does not have the clip, I will send you out a few spares. Thank you

Yep, I set my "C" clip in the correct slot after height is adjusted and when I clean (not often) I just slide it back in Bingo it's set. What a guy Tom is for readng and responding that way!!! That's just another reason I like my Manners Stocks

Tom,
Thanks for the response (and everyone else too!). Another question - I would like to add the Tubbs 4-way adjustable butt. The stock will be for a 300 WM. I have read that heavier recoiling rifles can make the 4 way Tubbs lose it's length of pull setting. Have you experienced the same issue, and if so are spacers available to combat this?

thanks,
Jason

THIS is why all my builds wear Manners. McMillan piques my interest now and again but I refuse to give up the quality of service that Tom offers. PM inbound, brother.
