Gunsmithing Cleaning threads.

Chuck an appropriately sized bore brush in a drill. I’m guessing 5/8x32 is your thread, think shotgun sized brushes. Can’t recall which gauge off the top of my head would fit a 5/8” hole.

The general consensus that I've seen on removing rocksett from threads is to soak it in warm water for about 30 minutes and go over it with a stiff bristle brush. To remove loctite from threads, I loosen it up with an acetone soak and hit it with a bronze brush and/or dental pic.

For the above to clean the female threads of the brake, I think a 20 ga bore brush would be your huckleberry.

No idea what you actually have on the threads but... if loctite
