Rifle Scopes Clearance between scope's objective and top rail

I have a Steiner 5-25 in Spuhr 20 MOA mount. In addition, there is Vortex scope cap. As a result, there is almost no clearance between scope object and top rail. Will there be a negative impact?

IMHO, Any clearance is enough. I can barely get my scope cover on my Rem 700 .308 with Leupold 6.5 x 20 and have had no issues for many years.

If you see daylight between them you should be fine. I have about 2mm of clearance on mine

I always try to leave .1 to .2 inches
