Clearance sale on Remington 700 barreled actions Bartlein,Proof research

I bought one of these the other day off your website. If you can PM me any info about your results with factory ammo, load development info and such I would appreciate it.

Could you guys do a R700 action with a 16” 308 Proof barrel? Didn’t see them in stock on website.

I’m going to run some 6 dasher,6br,and 6CM barreled actions on defiance tenacity’s to put on the website next week. Then I will do some on impact actions. Thanks
Oooooh what's pricing in those actions with said contour bartlein barrel?

Hi dstactical,
Novice rifleman here, trying to figure out to go factory or build.
1. The 224 barreled action is a remington 700 blueprint and will bed into any 700 SA chassis? Like KRG bravo, Greyboe, MDT, Mcree?
Then just have to figure out the DBM, mag and trigger, and then the rest of it.

2. Or I can go 6.5 CM.

I do have an excellent gun smith who can help me. He can custom build as well, but price is too high for the cutom route.
Thanks

If you get the Bravo, MDT or McREE you won’t need to bed. That is the route I would go, if in your shoes. You also won’t need to look for the bottom metal as it is already part of the chassis.

Pick a barreled action from DSTactical you want, drop it in a KRG Bravo with a Trigger Tech Special and you are on your way.

Most spend $800-1000 on their first rifle and end up swapping triggers, rails, and the stock. At this price point you are already ahead, having a trued receiver and a custom barrel.

Appreciate your quick response. Sounds like that will work out for me.

Wanting to buy the 10-8 heavy Palma 24” 6.5. I see it doesn’t list the oversized recoil lug or the oversized bolt knob. Does it come with both? Any photos of this particular BA? Also, what twist?

I bought one of the barreled actions from them chambered in 224 Valkyrie in a Proof Research barrel. I then purchased a Greyboe renegade stock with bottom metal and two 5 round AI mags that they modified for the 224 Valkyrie rounds. I recently received it from my ffl. The fit and finish is great and the machining is excellent.
I switched out the X Mark Pro trigger to a great old 40X trigger I had and mounted a Vortex pst gen2 2-10 power scope on it. I’ve been anxiously waiting for a chance to shoot it. I bought a couple of boxes of both Hornady 88 gr. and Federal 90 gr.
I finally had a chance today for only a few minutes to hurry and bore sight it then shoot 4 rounds at 100 yards with the Hornady ammo. The first shot was to see where it was shooting, make the necessary adjustments to sight it in, and then three shots for a group. I wish I could post a picture. It was less than a 1/2” three shot group!
I’m very excited for more thorough testing of the rifle and ammunition. I’m very pleased and thankful for my experience with Deep South Tactical in discussing this build with me and putting it all together.

Thank you for the kind words! Glad to see your getting good groups with factory ammo. We noticed with some of the factory ammo early on it was all over the board on speeds. Same box some were over 100fps different. Hand loads it should shoot a tiny hole. Here are Some groups we shot and some customers sent. 6mm -30cal. Thanks David.

Are the AI mags 308 or 223 modified? Double or single stack?

Had the opportunity to spend some time in the shop with David, Ryan, and Nick yesterday. These guys are top notch; very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Storefront is awesomely appointed with quality gear. I was even able to pick up a DST Reaper 20” barreled action in 6mm Creedmoor! This is a $1600 package they’re selling for $999. Fit and finish is remarkable. They already had a Calvin Elite installed which was spectacular! Gonna drop it in a spare McRee chassis, and I’ll post more pics of it and groups after that. Big thanks to Deep South Tactical, and I can’t wait to use their 1 mile range once it’s finished!

Nice!

Hoping to get over there one weekend when I’m free. I’m in Alabama and no shops have high end gear near me. It would be nice to see things before I buy.

Maybe cut out early on a Friday and ride over since they’re only open M-F. I’m very picky about the quality of my gear, and I was more than impressed with this barreled action. I don’t think you’ll be displeased with anything that comes out of this shop.
