Gunsmithing Clearcoating Manners Stock

Was wondering if anyone has sprayed their Manners stock with a semi-gloss clear coat to give matte finish some shine and bring the carbon fiber out a little more. Just looks a little dull.

Why some stocks look matte and other really pop with the carbon weave.
