what is the best instrument to clear a barrel obstruction? I fired a round today and got only a snap (that I could hear). Apparently the powder gremlins had eaten the powder (I discovered after pulling the bullet) and I had a hell of a time getting the round out of the chamber. Bullet was still in the case, but had apparently moved into the chamber some. Is there a jag or something suitable to put on the end of a rod to push a bullet out of the chamber? I'll have to order whatever I get... Thanks.

long brass rod matching bore diameter is best bet....but you might be able to just lightly poke it with a cleaning rod to knock it out

Get a wooden dowel and a mallet and hammer it out. If you can't get a long enough wooden dowel, make sure you get something that won't mar the barrel!!!

If you can't get any drop rods made you can get them from Sinclair's.

Don't use wood. Brass is best. If you have a squib load that drives a bullet a couple of inches into the rifling, then drive in a wooden dowel that splits and wedges tightly around the bullet nose...you have REAL problems. Use brass. JMHO
