Re: CMMG Or DPMS Trigger

This is my first choice in AR triggers and I have one in my SASS.

Re: CMMG Or DPMS Trigger

Has CMMG changed from the brass trigger parts? That trigger had serious wear issues.

get a Geiselle or KAC, the rest are not worth a second thought.

I thought they had but I wouldn't swear to it.

I have the KAC in my IRA-10 and couldn't he happier with it.

The best "budget" trigger would probably be the RRA 2 stage. They're pretty nice for the money, worth saving a tad longer to buy.

Re: CMMG Or DPMS Trigger

Rock River NM is very hard to beat for the money. I have a couple of the Xtreme triggers.... very nice very expensive. I also have a couple of DPMS triggers that are not bad. A savvy AR-15 builder/assembler can get a decent trigger out of a DPMS lower parts kit. Don't waste your time stoning any of the sear surfaces the trick is to reduce the creep.

Re: CMMG Or DPMS Trigger

I put a DPMS parts lower kit in a few days ago. The trigger didn't last. I thought it was horrible. I agree the RR 2 stage is one the best in it's price range.

Re: CMMG Or DPMS Trigger

I agree the RRA two stage is the best for the money. Next I would go with a JARD 2 lb trigger. Lastly the best in my opinion is the AR GOLD. It feels like a good 1911 trigger, no creep, or much take up or over-travel.

You can buy a RRA LPK that comes with their 2 stage trigger. LINK

Geiselle. I've tried nearly all of 'em. As much as I hate it, theyre $280 trigger is tits.<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: 858</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Has CMMG changed from the brass trigger parts? That trigger had serious wear issues.

Re: CMMG Or DPMS Trigger

I have a JP on my M4 and a Jewell on my 204 Long Range rifle. I like them both for what the AR's are used for.

I bought the JP from CMMG a few years ago. I sent it in to JP to have it installed. It works great, and has been no problem at all. I thought it was a little over my skill level to install.

The Jewell was installable for about anyone capable of putting a factory lower together.

No experiance with others.

Re: CMMG Or DPMS Trigger

O.K. I dont mean to sound dumb. but I have to ask. Is there a difference between an ar-15 trigger and an AR-10 trigger? I do enjoy the Jard triggers in my AR-15s, and I will be picking up my first AR-10 soon. Its a DPMS and the trigger SUCKS!

Re: CMMG Or DPMS Trigger

Well if the triggers are the same as AR 15 triggers I will be installin a Jard in mine. They are a bit tricly to set up but I have a trick for that. I keep a RRA 2 stage NM around to install for a quick good trigger on new ARs until I get time to install the Jard. My friend has a drop in that he really likes. Ill get the name and post later.
