I carried a M1911A1 for years working for Uncle Sam, Until we got M9's in the early 90's...

Those 1911's were beat to shit... and all of them are parts guns... being rebuilt many times over ,over the years ... Why anyone would pay that much for one is beyond me...

Some one is going to get the 1911 that was dragging down the highway from a jeep(off it's Lanyard) back in 1984...lol

Absolutely correct. Almost all of the 1911's I handled had been around a long time and looked it.
