CMP and 22lrs

Well, I was reading forums and came across this from the CMP forums....no more 22lrs from the sounds of it. It does not look good. I was hoping for some more 40x in a few years

That's one of the reasons I dove in on this one.

There are only so many surplus rifles. When they are gone, they are GONE.

The public doesn't embrace the shooting sports like times past, so the days of cheap GI .22's appear to be coming to an end. Too bad. How much better off would we be if every Guard or Reserve unit had a youth marksmanship program?

They still have the Kimber 82 trainers. They are BNIB and come with iron sights. They are fun two shoot and very accurate. I know I have one.
