Not entirely sure why, but when my smith sent off my barrel action to a new company they coated my entire muzzle brake. I have a Ultra 9 on the way. Will a duracoated brake cause any alignment issues with the can?

If so, how can I remove the coating and not mess with the rest of the barrel?

Never had to deal with a coated adapter so this is all new to me.

I have two Cerakoted BA-style brakes and they both work without issue. Initial attachment of the can was the slightest bit more difficult, but now they both thread like butter.

Also, anti-seize compound. I carry a container of it in my range/ammo bag, and smear a little bit on the threads/taper of the mount before installing the can.

Cheap insurance against a stuck suppressor.

Thanks guys, and good idea with the anti-seize. Red_SC the bore is fine, I checked after I was taken back by the coating of the brake. It shoots sub 1/2 moa regularly, and creeps into the .2's when I'm feeling good.
