Gunsmithing coating black bead blasted ar15 barrel

I have a Krieger 18" compass lake barrel coming for a mk12 Mod1. It will be bead blasted and I need to coat it black. I was gonna try brownells gun kote but the reviews seem bad. Anyone have any suggestions? It will have to be a thin coat to install the ops model 12 collar after finishing. Just seeing what others may have used. I thought about sending it to ADCO for Gun Kote also.

Ahhh....Knickerbocker Bar and Grill...fantastic food where you would never expect it. I would use cerakote. Give Jamie at Wolf Precision in Johnstown a ring. Maybe have him mask the collar part or spin it off on the lathe.

Dont use glass beads, they just pean the surface. Use AO or garnet 80-120 grit it will cut the metal & give the material something to grab ahold of.
