Here is the response I received for the same question;
The old website did not allow users to create accounts. The new site allows for users to create accounts to view products and track progress. To create an account click on an item that does not have a price (i.e., Surefire SOCOM762-RC) and it pops up a box that gives you the option to register. This will also allow you to join the wait list for items that are out-of-stock and you will receive a notification when they come back into stock.
