I have a JP Eliminator comp on my LR308. Threads were cut perfectly, finger tight, no slop when installed. I put a little of the Brownell Comp Loc on like I use in my 1911 open guns for the comps. Normally a little propane heat and they spin right off. Tried to get the JP comp off with a little heat with the barrel in a vise and it moved about 1 revolution and stopped. Tried the barrel in a vise and a 1/2 bar in the comp. No dice. Gave it a little more heat, still no movement. Tried penetrating oil for a couple of hours and it still has not moved. Hate to cut it off. Actually surprised I havn't bent or broke the comp with all the pressure I'm putting on it. Suggestions??????

Boil glycol based coolant. Submerge comp in the coolant for a few mins. When the coolant boils it works as a very effective cleaner. The cleaning action will remove the junk inside the comp and the heat will help free it up. I have used this a time or two on guns but mainly use it for automotive stuff, picked it up from an old engine builder. Works great for cleaning parts of carbon and other crap. But some painted finishes do not hold up too well. Just my two cents.
Thanks
