Comparator/Comparator Insert Question Brass Prep

So, received my Comparator insert. It’s a Hornady, but that’s all that available at the current time. I have been following the case prep from the sticky here, “Brass Case Prep”. I think I got a bad insert. Isnt’t the mouth of the case supposed to fit into the hole of the insert? I have a 5-26 sized insert for 6.5/.264 diameter. Mouth of the case does not fit though. Bad luck on my part with getting a bad insert?

You have the bullet comparator insert, not the shoulder comparator. The number on the side indicates the bullets size it’s designed for. In your case a .264/6.5mm

That's a bullet comparator. It's designed to stop at the ogive of the bullet.

For the headspace comparator you'll want the 375

And just to confirm, for a 6.5 Creedmoor case. I will want a sized 375 comparator insert for brass prep. Correct? That's the .375 Cal insert...
