Rifle Scopes Compare/contrast vortex viper HS vs PST

I'm debating if the PST is worth the extra money. I have zero use for the illumination, so I guess I'm more curious about the glass and experience with the reticle. I know the HS is wire reticle while the PST is etched. I'm not worried about the durability as vortex has the best warranty on the market. So just looking for some objective opinions, thanks!
