What is your avg MV?

Currently running 43.1gr IMR 4064 w. 190gr. SMK's

Today my chrono told me I am between 2550-2600. Barrel length is 22".

Curious what others have experienced with compressed loads. I am considering bumping up a bit to get me closer to 2800. Zero signs of over pressure. Groups have been well under 1/2 minute.

You will never get to 2800 with 190's and be in safe pressure limits.

Whoa!!! jack! you need to sit back, take a deep breath and refer to the loading manuals. It ain't all about speed. Your 22 incher is never going to give you 30 inch tube velocities. It's all about physics and what's safe. what you'er suggesting ain't safe.

Of course, the goal here isn't self destruction, but better performance at a longer range.

I was simply curious what other people have experienced with compressed loads/heavy projectiles/short barrels.

I am aware, the short barrel is my weakness for chucking these footballs past 1000 yards, but that's all part of the challenge!
