Guy uses a Trident to pay back a robber, frikken funny.
WHALE BAY, NEW ZEALAND - A man successfully threw a trident spear meant for catching flounder through the head of a man who robbed him. Sam Oliver Spence was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment after spearing Daniel Hill on January 21st of last year.
The prosecutors are alleging that Spence threw the trident through the car after recognizing the man who had robbed him earlier of his CD’s a wallet and a mobile phone. Hill had been convicted of the theft in June of last year.

Defense lawyers for Spence claimed that he admitted throwing the spear, but denied he did it with reckless disregard for the safety of others. Hill required emergency surgery for a skull fracture and more than a month of rehabilitation from the brain injury caused from the blow. Hill reportedly was unaware that he had even been hit.
“I didn’t even really feel it. Justin just said ‘you’ve got an arrow sticking out of your head bro’,” he said. Crown Prosecutor Anna Paterson asked the jury not to show sympathy towards Spence saying: ”I do not condone Daniel Hill’s actions – but neither can we condone the actions of the accused, who took the law into his own hands.”
The incident occurred when two cars carrying each party passed each other and the driver of Spence’s car tried to block Hill from passing. As Hill’s car swerved to avoid capture, the trident spear was thrown through the open window, embedding itself into Hill’s head.
The trial is ongoing and expected to last into next week.
