Condolences to Texgal_338's Family

I don't think I've seen any of her posts in the forum, but she was a regular in the old shoutbox and I saw her all the time there. Prayers to her family and may she continue to smile down upon us from that big shoutbox in the sky. RIP

Joyce Marie Webb
Joyce Marie Webb, 68, left this earthly existence on May 11, 2022, in Overton, NV. She was born on May 12, 1953 in Harris Co., TX to David William Webb and Dorothy Grace Klein. She was raised by her loving and caring grandparents. Her grandfather shared his love for weapons and firearms, in which she was very skilled.

When Joyce graduated from high school, she joined the United States Navy. There, she was trained as an electronic technician, working on radio systems. She also earned an advanced degree in mathematics during her military service.

While serving in the Viet Nam Conflict, she met the man of her dreams. They were engaged, but just days before taking his leave so they could be wed, he was killed in action. Joyce was devastated, and remained single for the rest of her life.

With the training she received in the Navy, Joyce secured employment with L.A. County working on their radio systems. When she retired in 2013, she was looking for the quiet, country life away from the rat race of big city life. She found Moapa Valley, making her home in Overton, NV. Joyce became a regular at the gun counter at Ace Hardware. It won’t be the same without her. Joyce’s adopted family, the Hopkins’, will miss her at the family dinners, holidays, and her visits to Ace.

She leaves behind her constant companion and dog, Rose; her many friends; and her adopted family, the Hopkins’, who will all miss her greatly.

Friends are invited to leave a message or memory in her guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
