Gunsmithing Confirming headspace on an AI rifle

I just installed an AINA 6.5 Creemoor barrel on my AI/AE. I used 100 ft/lbs according to the manual.Everything seems good however I don't have access to my friends go/no gauges until next week. Is there a way to check w/o the gauges. I will obviously not be firing the rifle until this is confirmed with the gauges. Thanks.

A piece of masking tape on the back of some factory brass should be close enough.
