Middle 'Merica!
It is reassuring to know that public servants such as this one are leading the way on passing that $2.1 Bazillion stimulus package.

As I understand things....the House is now "debating" the legislation they received from the Senate, and when they adopt the bill, it will go to the President for his signature, thus making it law.

I watched the opening session of the House today and it was announced there would be a three hour bloc of time in which both parties each have 90 minutes of time to speak to the legislation.

I don't get why they have to yammer back/forth about it for THREE HOURS...everyone, from both parties, just standing up spouting off the same thing...why? What difference does it make? I don't understand how Congress goes about its business, to be sure, but ... what is being accomplished by wasting time talking about something everyone knows will pass.

The old saying is, "Everything that needs to be said, has been said, but not everybody has yet said it."

These fuckin idiots with the purple hair I swear... At least they are making it easy to identify them. You can see the purple headed dildos for a mile.

I would get in front of a camera with my bag hanging out before doing it with that skanky looking hair. Thank God I'm going bald.

Apparently there is some republican from Kentucky who is saying no to it today.
He's hopefully gonna say no to a "voice vote" which will force these ficks become in and actually vote in person and in record of how they voted. A voice vote is literally where a group from each side shows up and speaker says "all those in favor" that group says "aye". Spaker says "all opposed", that group says "nay".

The loudest group wins. No names on how they voted.

Where are we? British parliament in the 1600's?

We can't have some form of phone-in vote? Skype vote?

Pomp and circumstance- and as we have seen with AOC, Schhummerrr, Drunk Pelosi, Maxine Walters, Patty Murry (geeze a buncha commie democrats here) sadly corrupt dipshits abound in the Senate and House. I wonder what percentage of the bills are pork.. its a BUNCH!

Make them all go in to vote. They want to be in washington, make them go. Fucking cunts.

The president should absolutely veto this porkulus bill. But he isnt going to.

Massie is my new hero. Make a mental note....he is the LONE voice. Even Trump is fucking up on this one. I suspect there are shitbirds around him that he is trusting.....shitbirds that he SHOULDNT be trusting.

He should have stuck with his orginal plan of a tax holiday on payroll earnings for the rest of the year along with enhanced unemployment benefits for those who need it. For some reason, he is going against his gut instinct...and that is never good.

There are several articles <gulp> online that explain exactly what parts are pork (bad thing, but why do so many people like bacon?) and the reasoning behind why they were put into the bill, by BOTH sides!

I see where (R) Rep. KY is trying to delay the vote of the virus bill by wanting a voice vote instead of a call in vote? donald is upset about that and wants to throw him out of the party. Just curious, wouldn't he also need someone to "2nd the motion"?

Actually...it won't matter how "loud" the nays are, Pelosi will rule the "ayes" have it. This is just all pro-forma drama, no meaning to it. Just gives everyone who wants to get on camera and speak to get on camera and speak. "Sound and fury, signifying nothing."

It's the opposite. The Ky guy wants to force a quorum which is 50% need to be present. As of now, if he does not force a quorum, then the voice vote goes.

And now....she is speaking...waiting for her to take her shots at Trump and Republicans, will she?

1) Quotes Pope Francis calling for all to be responsible.
2) Our nation faces an economic and health crisis...worse pandemic in over 100 years.
3) Calls all members to come forward into the chamber to be able to proceed. Come now. The sooner you come the shorter my remarks will be.
4) Thanks Republican Minority Leader for his efforts.
5) More than 1200 have died. Millions losing paychecks. 3.2 million filed for unemployment last week alone.
6) "The American people deserve an evidence-based response and they need it now."
7) Late Wednesday night, the Senate unanimously passed legislation, transformed a Republic corporate bill into a Democrat worker-first focus THERE IT IS
8) Defeated attempts to recall $600 added benefit per week to unemployed.
9) Now the self-congratulating for the Democrats who "saved" this bill.
10) Calls for immediate direct transfer electronically.
11) Workers FIRST not paying CEO benefits (as if it ever would have anyway. Pure bluster).
12) Saluting all the Democrats working on this

Yes, he wants to say no to it and to do that he is calling for a roll call vote, thus requiring all members to return and be in the House in case his stunt goes through ... but it did not ... so nice job trying to grandstand here. No different from the Democratic bozos doing the same thing.
