I've been kicking around the idea of building a 6 mm x 45 (6mm-223) on a trued Rem 700 .223 bolt face SA. I'm thinking about a 22" Sendero contour Bartlein 8 twist. I'm leaning towards a Manners or an XLR chassis. I've read that the 6 mm x 45 can be extremely accurate out to 500-600 yards. I'd like some insight on my idea and maybe some input from the experiences of others with this round. I know this chambering in an AR platform is common but I'd like to run it in a bolt rifle for a fun/farm/truck gun. Input appreciated.

I was considering 85 gr pills . Load data shows it will push them + 2800 fps. And yes, I've read barrel life of 8000 + rounds.
223 brass is available everywhere and with minimal charge weight you can get a fairly flat shooting and accurate rifle with no need for a brake. Lots of positives it appears. I'll probably talk myself into it ! Lol

I can picture a new Leupold VX5 HD 3x15 w/ Impact 29 reticle on this rifle. Talk about fast target engagement to medium ranges!
