I was curious if any chamber guys had an insight on this. I know this is unorthodox in the process but Ive been working with a straight taper 65 barrel. Truck axle contour 1.200. knocked a few chambers into it and threaded the muzzle. Its a shooter of a pipe for being a cheap blank. Im considering keeping it on an action just for giggles. Issue I have is the contour doesn't offer a lot of breathing room in the chassis.
I did indicate and clock the barrel into the action,, If I take it out and contour between centers. say give it a 1" finish contour at the muzzle then a straight taper back to 1.200 at the chamber end, will I be affecting the natural curve and then change the timing of the barrel?
Im willing to test this I was just wondering if anything has contoured after chambering
Thanks
