I was able to send messages to other users, but I am now unable to. Was there some change to stop "new" users from starting conversations?

I agree that this forum has a problem with scammers and blocking conversations helps, but it would be nice to know what exactly is needed to make my two year old account usable again.

Are all my posts now going to require moderator approval indefinitely? If you're going to make a huge change like this it's usually good to explain what you're doing and how it's supposed to work.

Read what Frank said in his first post. The answer is yes, they just have to manually review any account that has been dormant like yours.
This was explained to those of us that watch what is and has been happening. You just missed it because you weren’t around.
