Rifle Scopes Convert Moa to Mills

I have just converted from MOA to MILLS and am a little lost .If I am zeroed at 100 yards and my 1000 yard dope is 31.60 moa do I just devide by 3.6 to get mills ? moa 31.6 /3.6" =8.7 mills ??

Divide by 3.438 to get mils. (9.2 mils-you'd have only been 18" low).........

1 mil=3.438 moa
1 mil at 100yds= 3.6 inches

divide MOA by 3.348 to get MILS. If your MOA is 31.6 at 1k, divide 31.6 by 3.438 and your get 9.19 MILS.

Thanks Soberbiker -I had those figures also but wasnt sure .thanks very much --I think its going to take a while to break my self in to a new system

I'll just add that the way I remember that number, because I'm old, is that:

1 MOA at 100 yards = 1.047 inches
1 mil at 100 yards = 3.6 inches

And therefore there are:

3.6 / 1.047 = 3.438 MOA per mil.
