Re: Converting a left handed stock to right? Bedding
If it were me, I wouldn't use bedding.
Epoxies generate heat as a byproduct of the curing process. Piling in a big ol glop of resin is going to generate a surprising amount of it. It'll likely crack in places.
Instead get yourself some plain old resin (epoxy, not the polyester stuff) and mix it with some fillers/binders.
Milled fiberglass is a good one if you want a heavier rock hard fill. Talc can be used for a lighter fill. For a featherweight fill consider microballoons from West Industries. These will make the epoxy rise like bread dough laced with methamphetamines. It'll have a spongy look to it that doesn't weight chit, but will be rock hard. I used to do this often when building smallbore/highpower silhouette rifles due to the weight restrictions on the class.
It'll tolerate the recoil.
Ratios need to be experimented with. Some work better with 50/50 quantities based on weight. Other's respond better to volume.
Good luck and hope this helps.
