Guys what are some of the tricks to making this work in the feeding area. I have a LA Rem 700 action with a Mag bolt face i want to chamber into a 7WSM.

That, or realize you should just build a 7Rem Mag
Im starting to not like the WSMs.
Especially in Remington actions.

I did this with a 300WSM. All I had to do was taper the bottom of the action magazine cut out with a dremmel stone to allow a WSM case pass during cycling. The back 2/3 are all that you need to touch up. It's not a difficult process at all, just keep a case handy to check your progress and don't forget to dress the edges once your done.

Is it really worth it? Why not just shoot a 300WM or 7Rem Mag? especially if its a long action

I'm looking at changing over a Rem 700 in 7mag to 270 WSM, looks like a minor tune up to the rear portion of the feed rails, don't like that it then seems like to much room. I've heard that there is a mid length action in the works for WSM's but don't know any details.

It only takes about 5 minuets. It's definitely not brain surgery or rocket science.

No tricks or secrets and you already have the "right" receiver
#1 Open the feed rails +.010" per side
#2 Purchase a Wyatts window box for the ultra mag cartridges
#3 Enjoy the fruits of your easy modification
I've done this more than once and it works 100% of the time. My 7-300WSM was a 7mmRM in it's first life.
