Gunsmithing Converting a Single Shot Savage Action to Repeater

I ended up getting a 284 rifle in trade awhile back. It is A single shot savage action, right hand left port. I was thinking about milling the bottom of the reciever out to accept a mag system. Has anyone done this before?

Please dont tell me to buy another action, the rifle is ALL build. Its not a normal savage, its been remified (NO barrel nut).

Thats what I mean.... I got this in trade and make good use of it. I have no use for a single shot.

The catch is more likely finding the proper dimensions to work with before starting the job.
These are not the kinds of job that you want to do blindly.

If I had a print, I'd do it.
Without a print? Not so excited about the job...

that's actually the easy part... you don't open up like a factory repeater, you just open enough that an AICS mag fits.. so it still has more meat than a factory repeater
