Suppressors Converting Sig P229 .357/40 to 9mm??

Does anyone know if I can convert one of my Sig P229's in .357 sig or .40 to 9mm by dropping in a 9mm bbl and using 228/229 9mm mags? I don't want to buy anymore new pistols right now but want a cheaper way to practice due to ammo costs. If its something as simple as a bbl change and using 9mm mags, I'm there. If its not worth my while, I'd definitely like to know. Thanks folks.

you need a conversion barrel not just a 9mm bbl. barsto makes em. storm lake barrel would be cheaper and probably just as good.

you'd need 9mm mags.

I've got a bunch of 226 and 228 mags so thats not a problem. I'll look into getting a conversion bbl. Thanks for the info!!

Sig also sells .22 top ends for the P229...
