Has anyone tried the techniques or able to do the master techniques in this book?

I've been doing the routine for 6 weeks now and it's very effective in increasing strength. It's also a very low probability of injury method and infact has helped repair a rotator cuff issue I've for ages.

And before anyone says it, the book isn't about conditioning your ass for the gang rape in the showers !!!

Did you look for that chapter first?

I just assumed that's what it was about... you can imagine my disappointment...

I haven't tried this, but it comes pretty well reviewed and I've heard lots of people speak well of it. If I was stuck in prison I'd be using that book for workouts. That is essentially what the book was written for

Re: Convict Conditioning

I just finished doing some bridge exercises during lunch. This routine is no joke, even the 'easier' exercises. Everything has to be done under control - slow and pauses at the top/peak contraction of the movement. It's not easy. The one that's going to give me the most grief is the one-legged full squat. I just can't get below 90-degree knee bends without losing balance or my heel coming up...

I initially started this as a break from my usual kettlebell circuit training that I do at home but I think I might make this my main strength routine for a while and use the kettlebells/rower as interval-based cardio.
