Coriolis - Kestrel 5700 Elite AB w/ LiNK & AB App

I spoke to customer support at Kestrel instruments and was informed you can no longer turn off Coriolis on new or freshly updated units. Is this true?

Additionally, is it possible to link my Kestrel with my AB app?

In the measurement screen there is no menu for Coriolis so it cannot be turned off. AB will link with Android but not iPhone, I believe Doc said that is in a future version but no date has been established. You can search his posts for the exact info. Also, I think he said the AB solution and the Kestrel solution are redundant (or something similar) so if you have a 5700 or elite and are running AB on your android phone and linking with the Kestrel you won't get much added value, but again search his posts for the exact info from AB.

You can turn it off. Kind of. Simply set your latitude to 0, and set your firing direction to perfectly north.

5700 Elite has custom curves in it, with the Android app, you buy the custom curves, so they can be different.

But, the ballistic solver is the same as far as I understand.
