Correct neck wall thickness

I finally got my K&M neck turner in. My question is how much free space do you want between cartridge neck and rifle chamber. I know you need some free space to allow the brass to expand when fired but I can not find how much.
My rifle has a .336 neck so I know I at least have to turn it down to .014 to allow it to fit in the chamber. Would .001 clearance on all sides be enough?

Thanks for any input.

IIRC, When I talked to Dave Kiff about making me a reamer, he said .002 (.001 on each side) for bench and minimum .003 for tactical match. If you think you might be getting some dirt and grime in there, then you will need more clearance.

I with a .014" neck thickness you will be right on .336", I would say you would want to turn to .0125" to make sure you have reliable functioning.
