Rifle Scopes Cost for NF zero stop ?

Re: Cost for NF zero stop ?

Go to the Nightforce website and click on "LIBRARY" on the left. Then scroll down on that page to "FORMS" and find the "Factory Service Form," or just click here to d-load the FS form. It lists prices for most conversions available.

Re: Cost for NF zero stop ?

Has any body ever made measured between the elavation knob and scope body and shimmed it? Would be differant load to load obviously but thinking of a poor mans zero-stop I guess? Ideas?

Re: Cost for NF zero stop ?

Poor mans and Nightforce should not be used in the same sentence

Re: Cost for NF zero stop ?

You can do a poorman's zero stop on any scope. Just build a rail that has enough moa to put the scope at the bottom of it's adjustment (all the way down) when zeroed at 100 yards. You would have to find a patient gunsmith who would gradually fashion this rail for you and it might take two tries (ruin one rail).

If you find a scope with 50 moa of total elevation and put a 20 moa base on it, you will have 5moa of down left, which is about where you want your zero stop.

My Nightforce scope could use a system to tell me which rotation I am on.

Re: Cost for NF zero stop ?

@ Rebelrouser. I've made the poorman's zero stop for my Nikon scope. I believe I picked up the tip here on the Hide. Run a search and see what comes up. Basically, I used a nylon/plastic automotive oil pan's ..... oil plug gasket. I hogged out the center to fit and then used 600 grit sandpaper to thin down the gasket until it was the right thickness to act as a zero stop. Pretty basic and ..... cheap.

Thanks CSAR, that makes sense and was kind of along the lines I was thinking about. As long as it is prety close to zero at least I know my referance point! Thanks again. R.R.
