JRH is starting to offer the COTI deal as well and is offering the bracket necessary to mount the coti to a NVD BNVD or BNVD UL. My questions is does that bracket work for PVS-31As.

@DownRangeThermal Daniel - how'd you get the COTI to pair with the 31a ^^^^^

The BNVD and/or UL are different than the Mini-B. I talked to JRH about the correct bracket for the Mini-B assuming it's a custom part, but he's swamped and has been slow to respond with an answer. Part of me thinks there isn't one and that's why..

It came with the adjustable collar that fit the 31s

Skyscrapin- All emails have been answered. If you didn't get one hit me back or check your spam filter.

There is a special bracket for the Ultralight and MINI BNVDs. The standard BNVD and PVS14s will be fine with what comes standard with the COTI.
A PVS31 bracket is crazy expensive but can be ordered with a COTI also, let's just say they are very proud of the PVS31 bracket.

You mean NVD is offering. They simply drop ship everything from them. Does not work for the 31's.
That drop ship theme is wearing thin. A vast majority of products TNVC sells are made by others and dropped shipped by TNVC. However you want to technically term drop shipped. Yeah it might arrive at your company and then you simply forward it on.

Same for JRH, they ship from their company same as you but they don't tie up peoples money for months at a time by charging for items that will be months away from being delivered.

And everything I have ever seen come from NVD was very high quality. They been building NV equipment longer than you.

So it would be nice if you would give it a rest. There are many other very good dealers out their besides TNVC.

I received your email. You said the specialized mount wasn't available without a COTI purchase. The way I understand it is that I need to spend a few K to get a few hundred dollar part.

Crazy to think I spent more than a few shiny pennies on the Mini-Bs and now I’m being told good-luck-have-fun.

@SkyScrapin I run quite a few COTI's on 14's and quite often you can have some slippage on the metal to metal contact between the circular clamping mount and the close focus ring on the 14. And these are all the correct mounting brackets for the devices.

All that being said, quite often you can take a piece of thin bicycle inner tube and cut a small ranger band to fit on your close focus ring which while act as a non slippable shim for a lack of a better term.

I am not sure of the dimensions of the Mini B's but it is a method that could potentially solve the problem and make it very usable and solid with the mounting bracket you currently have.

Now one thing I do with my COTI's is I install a lanyard on them that clips into the lanyard ring on my PVS 14 which is attached to my helmet. Point being I never have to worry about a COTI accidentally coming off a unit and being lost.

Just offering a potential solution for you.

@SkyScrapin- the way I understood your email you did not buy the COTI from us, you never mentioned buying the Mini B from us (Searched via your email address you used yesterday and didn't find a purchase listed) and you were only looking for a mount- something I made clear we don't have "spares" of. Yet I replied this in email to you (and I checked all emails were replied to yesterday that you sent yesterday, might want to check your spam filter if your missing any cause I responded to everything quickly) Maybe you didn't see this email?

We don't sell just the mounts. You can check back in about 2-3 weeks and if we can get just a mount by itself I'll see about getting you one. The mounts are available at cost if you bought the COTI from us. It will be a little more since you didn't buy the COTI from us.

@Lowdown3 I will happily eat my words on this one. I missed that note which was in fact clear in your email to me. My B.

Fuck it. 2 is 1, right? I’ll reply back to your email and pick up (in my best DJ Khalid voice) annnothhha one with BNVD Mini-B bracket

The COTI comes standard with a rubber ring originally made for the PVS-15. It works perfectly on the 31A. A small Ranger Band also works well if you don’t have the ring in your COTI kit.

The included ring has ridges that hold the COTI perfectly square.
