Have a couple of days to kill next weekend in Sedona while the wife is teaching a class. Any recommendations as to mountain bike trails and bike shops for rentals, hiking destinations, restaurant/bars not to miss. Any others destinations to recommend in the area. There from 9th thru 13th AM. Thanks.

Bikes like.... Harley's? Because there is a good dealer there with rentals. And once you rent your HD, it is totally worth riding up the road to Jerome and on to Prescott. And the Grand Canyon is not that far away. One of the best MC rides in the Southwest.

If you are talking about a bicycle.... good luck. No clue.

    Cheers,

Two of my favorite places in that area are below though Oak Creek Canyon is not what it used to be. Used to be endless swimming holes and rock slides in the creek. Now its all privately owned and hard to find places to get to the water. They should have bike trails. Flagstaff is known as one of the healthiest cities in the US because so many people come there for that reason. Lots of hiking. Good restaurants are plentiful, depends on what you like. Try the Blue corn Mexcan food.

Thanks for replies, leads. Had one of the best motorcycle rides I've ever experienced over on 191, going from Silver City, NM, up 191 to Alpine and back over to Truth or Consequences. Pretty sure it's called the Coronado Trail. 100 miles up to Alpine and not a straight line on it-edge to edge the whole way. Really worth the effort to make it, if you've never done it. But, this trip will be mountain bike. Been looking through Maggots links and plenty to ride and not enough time-feeling a return trip will be in order. Appreciate the feedback.

As far as restaurants go, try the Javelina Cantina. Amazing Mexican food and great tequila plus most of the time you can watch the animals for which its named. Order their Carne asada, mouth watering just remembering it.

Also, don't let the hippies infect you. There's also a really cool wood store on the end of the main drag on the left heading west. Check that out
