Course of fire description for Thunder Valley

Re: Course of fire description for Thunder Valley

Tom,

The Gauntlet is not built yet.

Basically the Intimidator is a two man team timed event.
Four stations, with four targets per and eight min per team.
Three shots per target, known yardage.(10,5,2 for points)
Targets are 12" square.
Ranges are from 276 to 1165. Ten point bonus for team finishing in under five min. Also bounus target @ 1650 on station one.

There are threads for the Intimidator for all of last year, with pics and yardages under competitions. Any questions feel free to ask.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Tom Myers-

I cannot help with the course of fire for the Gauntlet yet. I can help with the Intimidator course though.

On the Intimidator the shooter has a partner. The team engages four targets each at the same position. The targets are the same for each shooter competeing. There are four seperate positions on the course. Each target has an assigned point value.
-First shot hit 10 points.
-Second shot hit 5 points.
-Third shot hit 2 points.

There are no fourth shots on each target. The team is timed. The total time per team is eight minutes. There is a ten point bonus for the team at each position. The bonus is for each shooter on the team engaging all four targets under five minutes. There is also a bonus at position one. The target is at 1650 yards. The same point value is assigned as the other targets. The shooter with the most points wins. The team with the total combined score wins.

The minimum round count is 16 per shooter. The maximum round count is 48 per shooter. This is not including the bonus target @ 1650 yards.

The targets are 12"x12" steel plates.

I hope that helped. If I missed anything,I'm sure somebody will add to my discription.
