Whistfully considering the fact that I already have a Pacemaker/Defibrillator implanted, and some of the potential options this removes from one's future....

Re: CPR - This Could Save a Life

how come the military never trains us like that. All, I ever get is some fake looking body or some sweaty nasty dude. This video changes my whole mind on training. I paid close attention to it and didn't even have to stand up and go to the side of the room because I was falling a sleep. I was wide awake and paying close attention

Re: CPR - This Could Save a Life

I did CPR on my sis in law back in 1991, she had a seizure and died on my floor.
Took about 10 mins and she came back.

But I did see a woman at the bust stop today, no shirt whatsoever, breast feeding a kid - looks like he was getting some sort of cpr.

Man I double taked on that! I thought I was seeing something...and the look on her face was priceless! LOL

Re: CPR - This Could Save a Life

CPR has changed so many times, I still remember how from Boy Scouts (2 breaths 15 compressions) now its just 3 chest compressions and check for signs, breaths are not important anymore.

Re: CPR - This Could Save a Life

Yeah, well, I figure they may not be all that necessary, but then again...

Back when I was a Scout they were still teaching/doing Artificial Respiration; sorta like rowing the victim's arms.

Geez, Louise...

Today it's CPR without the breaths.

Tomorrow...?
